When I first started my blog I experimented with “quote roundups”, where I would post a quote and explain why it spoke to me. I have always been a lover of words. The idea was a good one, so I tweaked it to better fit my blog’s bookish identity. I’m here again with a new twist on my original idea. Like everything else I have done, I added a bookish flare the idea. So, without further ado, here is today’s quote for readers:
“I am simply a book drunkard.”
— L.M. Montgomery
L.M. Montgomery nailed it. I am absolutely drunk on books and I can’t remember ever being sober. The books on my shelves hold me captive and control my life. Those lovely titles I don’t yet have eat at me until I buy them. The worst part about it is the fact that I refuse any help. I like this addiction and I wouldn’t want a life without it. Because, really, what is life without books?
